Introduction
This course is suitable for first-line managers from any type of organization and sector including team leaders and supervisors who have a team safety responsibility. It is designed to help students understand how to manage and improve safety within their team. The course introduces the multi-disciplinary nature of health and safety at work and covers a wide range of common workplace hazards. The IOSH Managing Safely course is comprised of eight modules that are delivered across five days. Each module explores key health and safety elements which will be reinforced by practical exercises that are based on the operations of a real business. Modern training is not about teaching, it’s about learning. No more ‘death by PowerPoint’. We know that getting people fully involved, having fun, and learning by doing, is the way to achieve health and safety training success! The IOSH Managing safely course gets delegates really thinking about what they’re learning – and having the confidence and enthusiasm to put it into practice when they’re back at work. At the conclusion of the course, delegates are required to undertake a multi-format assessment and a short workplace-based practical project.

Training Methodology
This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies, and presentations on best practices. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participants on what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations. The online course is conducted online using MS-Teams/ClickMeeting.
