Introduction

Students will learn and practice the advanced and most effective techniques in training and teaching in the field of HSE. Successful students will stand out among the rest of the safety practitioners with experience and fundamental knowledge.

Objectives

    Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

    • Design an effective safety training plan.
    • Devise workable training strategies.
    • Determine the appropriateness of training as a solution to work site problems.
    • Develop goals and learning objectives for the training.
    • Conduct traditional classroom and on-the-job training (OJT).
    • Improve the training program based on feedback from employees, supervisors.
    • Understand and comply with major safety training standards
    • Develop effective lesson plans, goals and objectives for safety training
    • Adopt to taxonomy of the cognitive training
    • Competently design training-need-analysis  
    • Develop a focused evaluation program
    • Apply program quality control criteria

Training Methodology

This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies, and presentations on best practice. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participants on what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations. The online course is conducted online using MS-Teams/ClickMeeting.
