Introduction
RTRP is Reinforce Thermosetting Resin pipe & is a Non-metallic piping system with varied applications for use in Process Industries. RTRP piping systems are also known as GRE or FRP piping systems. You may also hear of terms such as GRP (glass reinforced plastic), RTP (reinforced thermosetting plastic) and RTRP (reinforced thermosetting resin pipe). Even more specific, there is GRE (glass-reinforced epoxy), GRVE (glass reinforced vinyl ester) and GRUP (glass reinforced unsaturated polyester). The list of terms seems to go on and on. Typical applications include Potable Water, Sea Water, water treatment, fire water, sewer systems, industrial & chemical Fluids.
Objectives
- RTRP piping systems & applications
- Testing & Examination requirements
- Repair & Maintenance of GRP piping systems.
- Complete Engineering of RTRP piping systems & applications.
- Design, Analysis of RTRP Piping Systems
- Testing & Examination requirements
- International Standards for the design of RTRP piping systems.
- GRP piping analysis in CAESAR II requirements.
- Repair & Maintenance of GRP piping systems.
The main objective of the course is to enable participants to carry out preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on various types of piping, such as RTRP, GRP, and GRE. Upon the successful completion of the course, participants will be fully acquainted with:
Training Methodology
This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies and presentations on best practice and the fundamentals of shutdown and turnaround management. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participants on what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations.
Who Should Attend?
Piping Engineers working for Process Plants including Equipment & Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Maintenance Foreman, Maintenance Senior Foreman & Maintenance Supervisors, Project Managers, Design Engineers, Piping Erection, Pipe Stress Analysis Engineers, Pipeline Engineers, Piping QA/QC Personnel, Piping Inspectors, Operating, Repair & Maintenance Personnel
